Trade and Storage

The principal activity of the segment is trade in natural gas. In Poland, where the PGNiG Group is the largest natural gas supplier, the segment sells natural gas produced from domestic fields or imported. Through PGNiG Sales and Trading GmbH (wholesale) and PST Europe Sales GmbH (retail sale), the PGNiG Group is also developing its natural gas business (both wholesale and sales to end users) in Germany and Austria. The segment also trades in electricity, certificates of origin for electricity and CO2 emission allowances. The segment operates seven underground gas storage facilities (Brzeźnica, Husów, Mogilno, Strachocina, Swarzów, Wierzchowice and Kosakowo).
